On January 26, the first working meeting of human rights advocates on the rights of children in need of palliative care, which is being implemented with the support of the EU, took place. On April 24, 2018, at 11-00 in the city of Chernihiv will be held a round table on "Palliative care for children. Ensuring the rights of children in need of palliative care." The round table will be held within the framework of the project "Defending the rights of children in need of palliative care" with the support of BO "Network of 100 per cent of life in Rivne" and the European Union. On April 24, 2018, at 11-00, a roundtable on "Palliative care for children - ensuring the rights of children in need of palliative care" was held in Chernihiv. The round table was held within the framework of the project "Defending the rights of children in need of palliative care" with the support of BO "Network of 100 percent of life in Rivne" and the European Union. The meeting was attended by specialists from the city, district and regional centers of the SSSDM, the chief palliative care specialist of the Chernigiv Regional State Administration, volunteers, public activists, and journalists. During the event, the participants were informed about the peculiarities of palliative care for children, about how the rights of children in need of palliative care can be provided. A lot of time was devoted to the importance of social services in providing palliative care to children and their families, as well as the problem of interaction between social and medical services. We thank all those present for fruitful conversation and readiness for dialogue, and the beginning of cooperation was fixed by signing the resolution.

On May 05, a working meeting of representatives of the Association, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Health with the Deputy Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine on European Integration O. Churkina and the head of the Department for the Affairs of the Elderly and the provision of social services to O.Sulima were held in Kyiv. During the meeting, the issues of cooperation between the specialists of the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which we saw when they started implementing the project and meeting social services, were discussed. A very important issue of deinstitutionalisation and reformation of the boarding system in Ukraine, which is indicated in the Nationalist's strategy of reforming the system of institutional care and upbringing of children for 2017-2026. The Ministry of Social Policy recognized the urgency and urgency of the issue of protection of the rights of children in need of palliative care and prepared a letter to oblast administrations asking them to assist the Association in organizing roundtables with representatives of the social protection system of the population. The attendees confirmed their willingness to work together, exchanged information and planned to hold the next meeting in the Ministry by the end of May.

On May 15, Lviv hosted a roundtable on "Palliative care for children: Ensuring the rights of children in need of palliative care". The round table was held within the framework of the project "Protecting the rights of children in need of palliative care" with the support of BO "Network of 100 per cent of life in Rivne" and the European Union, as well as with the support of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine and the Department of Social Protection of the Population of Lviv Regional State Administration. The meeting was attended by specialists from the Department of Health of the RSA, the Department for Children Affairs of the RSA, and the Regional Center for Social Services for Children and Youth, representatives of the charitable foundations. During the event, the participants were informed about the peculiarities of palliative care for children, about how they can The rights of children in need of palliative care should be ensured. A lot of attention was paid to the importance of social services in providing palliative care to children and their families. Public organizations expressed their readiness to cooperate with social services in the areas of treatment, palliative care, social assistance for children and their families. A dialogue was held between representatives of social protection and public health, which showed the need for better communication between services in daily work to help children who are in difficulty due to an incurable or chronic progressive illness and their families, since the resource appears to be available, but because of the lack of communication, it is not used. June 5, 2018 inKU "Zaporizhzhya orphanage" ZOR, Zaporizhzhya was held a round table on the topic "Palliative care for children. Ensuring the rights of children in need of palliative care ". The event was attended by representatives of the KU "Zaporizhzhya Orphanage", the Children's Services and Centers of Social Services for Children and Youth, social and medical staff, and lawyers.
The purpose of the round table was to discuss the issues of provision of palliative care to children and opportunities for cooperation between social services and health care facilities in the provision of assistance to seriously ill children and their families in the current regulatory framework in this area.
During the Roundtable participants were informed about the rights of seriously ill children for palliative care, a film about the work of the child's home in Kharkiv was shown, information on monitoring the status of children in boarding schools during visits to the Ombudsman's office monitors, and an exchange of views between participants .
The round table participants received information on the establishment of a system for the provision of palliative care to children in Ukraine, its forms and tasks, and the need for interaction between services providing medical and social assistance.
The workers of the children's homes received answers to some questions about the provision of medical services for children in residential institutions. There is an understanding of the need for active communication between health services that provide medical care to children and services that provide social support to these children and their families.

On November 28, a roundtable "Palliative care for children was held in Zhytomyr. Provision of the rights of children in need of palliative care "with the participation of the Adviser of the Minister of Health of Ukraine on palliative care in Orebia Bratsun. The event was attended by representatives of the Services for Children of Zhytomyr RSA, Children's Services Services of the Zhytomyr City Council, Children Affairs Services of the District State Administration , regional, city, district centers of social services for children and youth, representatives of regional specialized houses of the child, department of labor, social and family policy of the RSA and KU "Zhytomyr Regional Children's Clinical Hospital ". Participants of the round table recognized the information on the development of palliative care for children in Ukraine relevant and useful. When discussing the forms and content of cooperation between health services and social protection services for children, the participants understood the need for improvement of the legislation (joint orders of the Ministry of Health and Occupation Policies). In addition, the proposal to improve communication between stakeholders and the violation of topical issues that lie within the framework of cross-sectoral cooperation was supported. When discussing the resolution, special attention was paid to the issue of improving education for representatives of the social protection sphere.

On December 21, 2018, in Vinnitsa was held a Roundtable on "Palliative Care for Children. Provision of the rights of children in need of palliative care" with the participation of representatives of the Department of Social and Youth Policy of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, the Children's Affairs Services of the Vinnytsia Regional State Administration, representatives of orphanages, the Oblast Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children and Youth with Functional Restrictions," Obriy ", representatives of Vinnytsia Regional Children's Clinical Hospital, representatives of NGOs.
